ABOUT ME

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with over 16 years of experience in outpatient, in-patient, and educational settings. I am a Christian Therapist, consultant, and advocate who believes in building bridges and breaking barriers.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from UC Berkeley, before continuing to study mental health at the University of Southern California. I specialize in providing effective interventions for Depression, Anxiety, Co-Parenting Conflict, Employee Wellness, Racial Battle Fatigue, and Trauma across the lifespan.  I am committed to helping people uncover, discover, and recover: Uncover and remove the shame to let their light shine; discover their purpose and make their mark in the earth; and recover from emotional, social and spiritual injury. I am trained in several evidence-based practices, including but not limited to: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Christian Counseling.

I serve and support all people.  However, I do realize that it may be particularly difficult to find affirming care when you are Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color (BIPOC). If you are BIPOC, you will find affirming and specialized care here. I integrate tools and strategies inherent in African American culture such as: faith, testimony bearing, the use of humor and allegories, and valuing people over their labels. These tools have been proven time and again to foster resiliency and perseverance, while making room for humanity and vulnerability.
